There's something profound about giving thanks. It's like an outpouring, a celebration of goodness, a restoration of peace. It's the most beautiful way of expressing the acknowledgment and appreciation for someone or something. Some people give thanks daily, some only on special occasions, sadly others don't even know what to be thankful for.
...even the small ones. Last week, there it was an email reminder from my website provider. It was time to renew my yearly subscription. Almost surreal, it had indeed been a year since I embarked on this blogging journey. Time had gone by so quickly, and for a moment I looked at the email and wondered if it was time just to let go and move on to other things.
I consider Christmas the best time of the year. Apart from the beautiful Christmas decorations and the sudden peace and calmness that seems to fill the air, it is a reminder that the old is passing away and something new is ahead. Many people share my excitement, yet there are others that dread this time of the year. Many have developed the habit of saying "Oh dear, I can't wait for this year to be over. This year was one of the worst!"
